September 9th:

An evening reception will be held on September 9th at the “Panoramapunkt” ( located directly at the famous Potsdamer Platz. Enjoy the spectacular view above Berlin from “High Altitude”, feel the “Airborne Wind” at Berlin highest open-air terrace and last but not least: meet the AWE-community at an informal get together before the conference will start.

Accompanying Program
The conference will begin with our »get together« on Monday evening.
At the end of the first conference day, there will be an expert tour for those who want to explore Berlin. The tour begins and ends at Beuth University.
Following is the dinner with a barbecue and music in the Alte Maschinenhalle (old machine hall/Beuth Halle), located at Beuth University, Luxemburger Str. 10, Haus Beuth.

Expert Sightseeing Tour: Berlin - smart city and city of change (10th September at 17:30)
This introductory tour of Berlin focuses on the city’s more recent history and the developments in urban planning, politics, culture and the economy since reunification. Another focus is Berlin’s key role as a hub for research and innovative enterprises, particularly with regard to finding intelligent solutions for the ‘city of tomorrow’.
